From 2004-2006, I will be a student at Cottey College. Cottey College is a small, private, all-female school located
in the south-west Missouri town of Nevada. It was founded in 1884 by a woman named Virginia Alice
Cottey. She founded it with the hope of providing women with the quality educations men had been given access to.
The college was given as a gift to the P.E.O. Sisterhood in 1927. Cottey College enrolls approx. 350 women from
40 different states and 10-14 different countries. It is a two-year school offering associates degrees in arts and science.
